EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Angela L. Freel has been appointed to the Commission for Continuing Legal Education by the Indiana Supreme Court. Freel, a partner in the litigation department at Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson, LLP begins her four-year term on the commission on Jan. 1, 2011.
"It is a great honor to be appointed by the Indiana Supreme Court to the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education," Freel said. "I look forward to carrying out the mission of the Commission which is to enhance the quality of legal services and professionalism in Indiana through administering, developing and regulating continuing legal education requirements, mediation training standards and attorney specialization programs."
Freel focuses her practice primarily in the areas of mediation, family law and domestic relations, insurance defense, commercial litigation, civil litigation, and collection law. She serves on the board of directors of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum and is chair of the 8th District Representative for the Indiana State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, where she also serves on its board of governors. In addition, Freel is vice president of the Evansville Legal Aid Society, and is also active with the Volunteer Lawyer Program and Litigation Council of America.
Originally from Portland, Ind., Freel received her juris doctorate in 1998 from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington and her bachelor's degree in Public Affairs with concentration in Environmental Science, with high distinction, from Indiana University in 1995.
