EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson, LLP attorney Paul C. Rudolph will present, “CYA – Cover Your Assets! Protect the Assets You Developed and Earned with Strategic Succession and Estate Planning”. The seminar will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the offices of The Chamber of Commerce of Southwestern Indiana, Innovation Point, 318 Main Street, Suite 401, downtown Evansville. There is a charge of $25 to attend the seminar.
“CYA – Cover Your Assets! Protect the Assets You Developed and Earned with Strategic Succession and Estate Planning” is the second in a series of six business law seminars hosted by the firm and the SBDC. This seminar will discuss techniques and ways to transfer assets to heirs and partners, including:
1. How to transfer a small business
2. Techniques to ensure heirs receive as much money as they need (but not too much)
3. Reasons why a will or trust might not transfer an estate like intended
Rudolph is an associate in the corporate department at Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson, LLP, where he focuses his practice in the areas of corporate and business law, elder law, estate planning, tax law, and bankruptcy. In addition, Rudolph is a CPA and serves on the board of directors of the Economic Development Coalition of Southwestern Indiana, Historic Newburgh, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Ohio Valley. He also serves on the Warrick County Council for District #2 and is a precinct committeeman for the Warrick County Republican Party.
