INDIANAPOLIS – James D. Johnson was appointed to serve on the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Johnson is a named partner at the Evansville law firm Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson, LLP.
In addition to this new appointment, Johnson serves as the amicus chair and secretary to the Defense Trial Council of Indiana. He also is a member of the Indiana Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Brooks American Inns of Court, Defense Research Institute, and the American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association and the Evansville Bar Association.
Johnson focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, appeals, covenants and trade secrets, insurance law and products liability. He is AV® Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rated for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability™ and was named the 2007 Defense Lawyer of the Year by the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
A Newburgh, Ind., native, Johnson earned his juris doctorate cum laude from Indiana University School of Law in 1987 and his bachelor’s degree with honors from Florida State University in 1984.
