FRENCH LICK , Ind. –Ross E. Rudolph and Joseph H. Langerak IV, lawyers with Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson's Evansville, Indiana law office were recently presented with awards at the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana’s (DTCI) annual meeting and Board of Directors dinner, held at the French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind. on November 17.
At the Thursday dinner and meeting, Ross was named 2011 Diplomat of the Indiana Defense Trial Counsel. This award is presented annually to an attorney who, in the judgment of the officers and directors of DTCI, has distinguished himself throughout his career through outstanding contributions to the representation of clients in the defense of litigation matters.
Joe was named Indiana Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by DTCI. The Indiana Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award is awarded annually to an attorney who is approved by the Board of Directors, is less than 35 years old, and in the opinion of the Awards Committee, “has shown leadership qualities in service to the Indiana defense bar, the national defense bar, or the community." This is the first time a lawyer outside of Indianapolis or Bloomington has received the award.
Mr. Rudolph focuses his practice in corporate and commercial litigation, insurance defense, and mediation and arbitration. He has been included in Indiana Super Lawyers for his civil litigation defense practice for the years 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, and was named to The Best Lawyers in America for alternative dispute resolution for the years 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011.
Mr. Langerak is a commercial litigator, concentrating his practice in business litigation, construction law, and commercial litigation. Joe actively represents his clients throughout Indiana and Kentucky state and federal courts. He serves on the Defense Research Institute’s Construction Law Committee and is the National Liaison between the Young Lawyers Section and the Construction Law Committee. Joe has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2010, awarded to less than 2.5% of lawyers in the state. He was also one of fifteen lawyers in Indiana in 2010 to receive the Indiana Lawyer Up and Comer Award.
DTCI is an association of Indiana lawyers who defend corporations and individuals in civil litigation. Its mission is to assist and support members in the substantive and management aspects of their law practices.
